More than a decade ago, our founder—a propulsion engineer and inventor—chose to pursue his lifelong passion for aviation, transitioning from a different industry. His journey led to a pivotal encounter with an accomplished professor, scientist, Ph.D. and inventor whose expertise included fighter jets like the IAR 93, IAR 95, and IAR 99. As head of the Theoretical Aerodynamics Department at Romania’s National Institute of Aviation (INAV SA), he contributed invaluable knowledge in high-speed aerodynamics.
What began as a chance meeting soon evolved into a shared vision. Inspired by their combined expertise and drive, other aviation specialists joined the initiative, forming Delphys Dynamics—a research powerhouse dedicated to redefining efficiency, performance, and adaptability for flight.
A key moment in the company’s journey came when an early investor, one of Google’s first team members, recognized the disruptive potential of Delphys Dynamics’ UAV innovations. His backing accelerated the company’s progress, supporting its advancements in next-generation UAV technology.
